Cynthia Bain
Cynthia has a Fine Arts
degree from St Alban's College of Art.. Her work has been
exhibited in several London galleries including:
Gallery 47, Great Russell
Street, The Tabernacle Gallery, Portobello The Footstool
Gallery, St John's Smith Square, The Gallery in Cork Street.
Her 'Arches Series' was
initially inspired by visits to the monasteries and Gothic
cathedrals of England and France. Further work from the
Arches Series, commissioned by Chrysalis Records for their
CD 'Ancient and Modern', has led to many private
commissions. The work is influenced by images of permanence
in a changing world. These contemporary interpretations of
ancient images have recently led to a new series inspired by
the architecture of The Alhambra, Granada. Now that she
lives part of the time in Spain she has taken an interest in
large flowers.
