Roger and Ian have been firm friends since they met more than twenty years ago in Gaborone.

Ian says he paints to achieve relaxation from the stress of looking at diamonds all day! 

He usually paints from memory without the use of sketchbooks or photographs, thereby attempting to portray the real essence of a subject as the mind sees it.

The majority of his work is in oil or acrylic paints although he enjoys using the softer tones achieved with pastel chalks from time to time.

Ian's chosen subject matter and style is varied, with the emphasis on mood, colour and atmosphere being conveyed in his pictures with great talent.
