Ray "Charles" Mbugua
Born in 1976 just outside
Nairobi, Ray has always wanted to be a painter. However, it
was not possible for him to go to art college and so he taught
himself until he had the good fortune to meet Iris Hunt who
organised an intensive training programme for him at the MKAG.
He is now a full time artist whose work is handled exclusively
by the MKAG. His talent and zest point to a bright future as
a wild life artist, although as can be seen, his talents are
not restricted to animals.
